This is the nubuck leather unisex Monty, featuring Mini RipStop panels and a 100% waterproof Hydroguard bootie liner. After listening to feedback from our ambassadors and all of you in the Ridgemont community, we decide to further develop our Monty Hi line for maximum durability in all situations. We’ve extensively field tested these, and feel confident that this new technology adds tons of technical functionality to the Monty Hi, while still retaining the same retro-classic styling that has made them so popular. Dry feet, looks sweet.

- Variflex lasting board - stiff in the mid and heel, softer in the toe. Protects the underfoot from sharp stones whilst retaining flexibility in the forefoot for comfort

Adventures With Ridgemont Hikers
I bought these for hiking in Spain, which can be a real boot-killer: sharp, karstic limestone rocks are everywhere. Out of the box, the look and fit of the Montys was spot-on, and on the trail they provided an ideal mix of grip, flexibility and support. After two weeks and 250km, they'd held up well. The only disappointment is the compression of the foam out-sole at the heel. Back in London and pounding the pavements, I'm not sure how long they're going to last...
Just recycled my first pair of Monty's purchased in 2016. The most comfortable, stylish and durable shoes I've owned. I own 4 pairs now and I'm confident they will all go through the same wear lifecycle of smart/casual > everyday > work wear > bin.

I love these shoes!
I've been wearing these locally over the last couple of weeks. They look great, fit is true to size, quality seems good so far. Long term will be the true test though. Only downside so far is that they're poor in mud, definitely more of a dry weather shoe if you're off-road - begs the question about the usefelness of being waterproof.
I bought my first pair in 2019, think that tells you a lot.

Comfortable walking shoes, been great for a first timer like me
First time purchasing from Ridgemont. Was looking for something that was a mixture of outdoors and everyday use and these boots checked those boxes. Glad to see a brand doing something different instead of just leather.
Comfy, stylish, waterproofing worked pretty well. Used daily and lasted 12 months then sole came away a little and deteriorated steadily for the next 6 months.
Bought these as a present, really nice . Son very pleased with them . Customer service excellent.
I went for a half a size bigger than I usually wear, and they fit perfect. They feel very comfy and nice and light to wear. Exactly what I was looking for and I will definitely be buying another pair.
Like these a lot, they look great and I think once they're broken in a bit they'll be more comfortable. Word of warning though, they do come up quite small. I ordered a half size extra and that should have really been a full size up.
The boot was actually poorly made and many of the seams didn’t actually join up properly. And the boot itself was much narrower than expected. Overall I was not happy with the quality of the boot for that price.
