It’s true that we are suckers for some nostalgic retro vintage style but now and again the addition of modern design functionality can blend pretty well. The ESCAPE is a perfect example of best of both worlds. The new 2 part injected sole and lightweight rip-stop nylon upper allows the Escape to weigh in 25% lighter, and boy do you notice it.
A mildly aggressive tread pattern allows terrain versatility. Our signature vari-flex lasting board does double duty as a shank to make sure flexion is controlled, but is softened under the ball of the foot with extra flex points in the sole.
The ripstop upper has critical area overprint for strength and weather resistance combined with oiled suede panels around heel, toe and eye stay. A heel retention cage is enabled with a lowered lace eye and fit has been relaxed with functional materials meaning comfort straight out the box, no wear in required!
Individual preference is catered for with both low-top and hi-top (technically more of a mid-top) versions available.

At Ridgemont our shoes are true to size so if you wear a size 9 in vans then we recommend you wear a size 9 in Ridgemont.
