Outback II
The Ridgemont Outback II is our most versatile style. Constructed of durable 2mm waxed full grain leather, waxed cotton canvas, a bespoke open cell insole and a hi-density 100% rubber, lugged vulcanized outsole. NEW for this version is a lockstitch side seam for an ultra secure outsole bond and a Vari-flex composite lasting board for enhanced durability, comfort and improved flex in the forefoot.
Unlike most other hiking boots, it's not so bulky that you'll look like you just got finished hiking the Muir trail if you feel like grabbing some breakfast after your morning hike.

Great value shoes. Second pair of Escapes now. Comfy fit straight out of the box. Time will tell just how durable they prove to be but so far, really impressed. I found the sizing to be on the smaller side so I buy a half size bigger.

My second pair of Ridgemonts and very happy with the Escape shoe in brown. Fits my wide feet, nicely water repellent and don’t look too obviously like walking shoes.
I buy a pair every couple of years. Very durable for the price. Especially considering most trainers fall apart after a few months. Not Ridgemont. Recommended.
