The Ridgemont Outback II is our most versatile style. Constructed of durable 2mm waxed full grain leather, waxed cotton canvas, a bespoke open cell insole and a hi-density 100% rubber, lugged vulcanized outsole. NEW for this version is a lockstitch side seam for an ultra secure outsole bond and a Vari-flex composite lasting board for enhanced durability, comfort and improved flex in the forefoot.
Unlike most other hiking boots, it's not so bulky that you'll look like you just got finished hiking the Muir trail if you feel like grabbing some breakfast after your morning hike.

Comfy and good looking
I've finally found a pair of hiking trainers that look good AND are good for the job. Light, great materials, no over moulded footbed, no narrow heel to twist your ankle. One point- the sizing is 'just' about right, slightly small. If you really intend to wear fat socks, go up a half -otherwise stick to normal. I had a small issue with my order, but they sorted it very quickly - so good customer care too.
Second pair of these. Wear them for work - comfy and smart.
Been looking for a while for a pair of 'retro' trainers and didn't want NB or Merrell. These are great, lightweight but really well made, good sizing and comfy straight out the box, the socks were really good too!
